Cee Lo Green is a lot of things: singer, music producer, and judge on NBC’s hit music competition “The Voice.”
What he is not, he insists, is a sexual criminal.
According to recent reports, a Los Angeles woman is accusing Green, real name Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, of sexual battery.
Details of the alleged incident and the identity of the accuser have not been identified, but TMZ reports that detectives on the case have already visited a restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles that is believed to have connections to the case.
Members of the staff, as well as the manager, have been pulled aside for questioning, the site reports.
It is unclear whether the unnamed woman was an employee at the restaurant or if the alleged incident took place there.
Meanwhile, Green, 38, is dismissing the accusations, denying any wrongdoing and even pointing out that he hasn’t been to that restaurant in three months.
“Nothing ever happened there or anywhere else,” he told TMZ.
A pal of Green’s added that the accusations were definitely not in the “F--k You” singer’s nature.
“I have never seen Cee Lo act in a physical way toward anybody,” the source said.
At this time, no charges have been filed in the case.
